Phil McConkey, 61, and Jesse Iwuji, 31, are separated by a generation and played in different eras at Naval Academy but both shared similar experiences. His grandfather served in the Nigerian Army and fought in its civil war.

Separated by three decades, both saw the Academy as a way to play football at a high level while receiving an excellent education. He found it first in amateur drag racing. Thanks for signing up.
